SYLVIA HARRISON
Before I came to live in Felton in 1991, I was a frequent visitor to see my
parents and moved here with my husband to be near and to look after my
mother as long as she was able to live in her own home on Main Street.
I have lived in Davison Avenue since 1994. I got my BSc in 1998 through
the Open University.
Like a lot of people, I am at least as busy in retirement as I was when I
was in paid employment. I serve on the Standards Committee of Alnwick
District Council and represent Felton Parish Council on the Alnwick Rural
Area Network (ARAN). I am Chairman of Felton Village Hall Management
Committee and Secretary of the North Northumberland Village Halls
Consortium. I am a founder member of the Women's Health Issues
Group and Chairman of the Village Hall Management Committee.
Not surprisingly, I don't have a lot of time for hobbies apart from walking
my little Westie, Kirstie.
